What We Do
We collaborate with you to produce authentic and creative content. Together we'll tell the story of your brand the way you want it told.
- Who are Reef Knot Productions?Reef Knot Productions was founded by Emma Boland and Dominic Callaghan, both of whom have over 20 years’ experience creating content. With backgrounds in television production, online content and corporate work we understand the different ways to tell stories. Having filmed in all manner of locations, we are skilled in adapting to varying environments. We constantly evolve to keep ahead of developing technologies, using these to our advantage so we can create the perfect frame in which to focus on what really matters, people and the stories they tell.
- Why choose Reef Knot Productions? At Reef Knot we understand the importance of having the right tools, in our case cameras, lights etc and being experienced in using them (which we are). What can be trickier to learn is how to get the best from people onscreen. We regularly work with people from all walks of life, from CEOs, to people in high stress environments, to A-list celebrities. No matter who you are, it can be daunting to talk on camera. Being able to draw out of a person the story they want to share takes empathy and a skill that takes time to refine. If you choose to work with us, you would benefit from that experience.
- Where are Reef Knot Productions?Geographically we are based just outside Truro in Cornwall, with its spectacular coastline and beautiful countryside, it’s fair to say we are inspired by our stunning location. Creatively Reef Knot Productions lives in a space in-between, securing connections and bringing people together in a positive way. Our goal is always to produce something that looks fantastic but also to communicate the essence of your brand by evoking emotions that forge connections with your audience.

A micro-documentary is a way of telling the story of a brand that gets to the heart of a company via honest storytelling. Examples of micro-documentaries could be a film about how a brand came about, or it could focus on a customer’s story or the work a brand does within the community. At the centre of all these films are genuine people sharing real life experiences. This type of film tends to create deeper connections with audiences, which in turn can encourage customer loyalty.
The cost of a video depends on various factors, including the length, complexity, filming locations and post-production requirements. We offer tailored quotes based on your specific brief. A basic video could start at approximately £3000 BUT as no project is the same it’s hard to give a true idea of price so please get in touch if you are thinking of getting a video made.
