Emma

Creative Director

Emma started her TV career in the late ’90s (yes, that long ago), working on programmes for the BBC, ITV, MTV and more. As YouTube and online content grew, she naturally expanded into short-form work, building experience across both broadcast and digital. She’s worked across a wide range of genres, from news and current affairs to reality TV and children’s content and in all sorts of settings, from location shoots to studio setups.

Alongside her work as a producer and director, Emma has a real interest in the importance of compliance when it comes to creating content for the screen.

As she puts it:

“Compliance often gets seen as something dull or purely legal, but to me it’s really about showing care for people. It’s about responsibility, integrity and doing the right thing”

Best job so far: Too many to choose from! Producing in the CBeebies House was a joy, Bedtime Stories was always fun. More recently, working with Gareth from We Are One Cornwall was a wonderful experience, we felt really honoured to share Gareth’s story.

Best thing about your job: Working with people and seeing their stories come to life. Running our own company was daunting at first (lots of Googling legal jargon!), but now I love it.

Worst thing about your job: Telling people they can’t use their favourite Taylor Swift  (or insert other famous musician) track, as it will cost about a billion pounds (possibly exaggerating but a lot of money)

Favourite beach in Cornwall: The Roseland Peninsula is perfect for swimming and paddleboarding, but the north coast’s dramatic scenery is hard to beat. If I had to pick, Porthcurnick, it holds so many special family memories.

Favourite film: I should probably say something highbrow, but honestly? The Money Pit, Tom Hanks’ finest moment if you ask me (which you didn’t but I’m sharing anyway).

Dominic

Creative Director

Dominic started as a runner at BBC Manchester, working his way up to BAFTA-winning producer and director. He’s worked across BBC, ITV, C4, C5, Netflix, and more, covering everything from The Olympics to 24 Hours in Aldi to hard-hitting documentaries. In the commercial sector, he’s filmed at various industry events and produced content for luxury hotels worldwide. Dom’s passion is combining people’s stories with stunning visuals.

Best job so far: Tough one! One of my first jobs was Dragon’s Den which was fun Salvage Hunters: The Restorers is a favourite, and 999: What’s Your Emergency? was challenging but rewarding. More recently, filming a micro-doc with Martin from The Leather Workshop was a highlight.

Best thing about your job: Meeting fascinating people and getting to be creative every day.

Worst thing about your job: Early mornings. And answering these questions!

Favourite beach in Cornwall: Gwithian—it’s stunning and perfect for drone shots.

Favourite film: Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark—I don’t think an explanation is needed.

We also work with some fantastic freelancers. We asked them to answer these questions, but apparently, they’re too busy doing actual work!
